Switching travel nurse agencies is a bit like selling your home. It’s a real
pain, there’s a lot of paperwork involved, but sometimes it’s just the best
financial decision.
Some reasons for making the jump include:
- Your favorite nurse recruiter left
- Your travel nursing agency doesn’t have any contracts with the hospital
you want - Your travel nurse company was bought out by a bigger company and you feel lost in the shuffle
- A nurse recruiter from a different agency is offering you better perks or better pay, or both
But whatever the reason, you need to be prepared for the paperwork involved with the transition. If you procrastinate, you’re only adding stress and time pressure to your already busy schedule.
In the next few articles of this series, I’ll cover four main areas:
- Health insurance coverage
- Retirement plan coverage
- Life & Liability Insurance coverage
- Paperwork
